Prime Minister David Cameron made a surprise visit to IM Properties' award winning Birch Coppice Business Park on Friday.
The Conservative party leader visited the Dordon business park to perform the official opening of Ocado's new £210 million distribution centre.
During his trip the Prime Minister chatted with employees and learnt how more than 2,000 jobs are being created at the new centre.
Kevin Ashfield, IM Properties' Development Director, said: "It was an honour for the Prime Minister to visit Birch Coppice and see the positive effects that both Ocado and the business park are having on the North Warwickshire communities and economy."
Situated at Junction 10 of the M42, Birch Coppice Business Park has attracted a range of high profile occupiers including Volkswagen, UPS, Euro Car Parts and TNT Logistics. It is also home to the Birmingham Intermodal Freight Terminal, enabling every business to tap into the West Coast railway for dock to door container deliveries while benefiting from the economic and environmental benefits of rail freight. In excess of 5,000 jobs have been generated at the business park since it opened in 1997.
