Ocado dispatches first orders from IM Properties’ Birch Coppice Business Park

Ocado has begun delivering orders from its new £210 distribution centre at IM Properties’ Birch Coppice Business Park.

The high tech Customer Fulfilment Centre (CFC) has been built on a 35 acre plot at the Business Park which is situated in Dordon in Warwickshire.

Built to accommodate Ocado’s rapid growth, the centre will deal with more than 180,000 orders per week and employ more than 2100 people when it becomes fully operational.

It brings the number of people employed at Birch Coppice Business Park up to more than 5,100, making it one of the region’s biggest employment success stories. Other occupiers at the park include UPS, Volkswagen Group, Euro Car Parts, Roadways Container Logistics, Bristan, Instarmac and PHS.
